In Quite the Predicament... (GSR with LS trans?)
A few days ago my timing belt slipped on my b18b1 due to a disfucntional tensioner, i think (in the process of tearing it down). I do not know if i bent a valve or if i need a new head, motor, or just a valve job. I guess we'll see
if i need a new motor might as well go vtec and get a jdm b18c lol
But on to my question: how does the ls tranny do with a gsr engine? Would it kill performance? I've heard the gear ratios are the same but does anyone run this setup?
Any help would be appreciated

The gears are longer on the ls transmission. I found this cool Honda calculator, you can add the input and see the difference.

Ok second question: Where do you buy JDM engines? I know online but what are solid retailers? OR is there anyplace is washinton?

i'd check out hmotorsonline if you're trying to buy the swap, if you're going to spend a couple thousand on a swap, might as well just pick up a b16 or gsr trans for an extra 500
Yeah thats kinda what i was thinking now. The performance difference would make up for it. Might just sell the shell (super clean) and go buy a da or something
the only difference with a DA is that you'll need to track down a cable b16 or gsr trans unless you plan on doing the hydraulic conversion
