The inside is clean. The outside always gets dirty when handling especially if you're hands aren't clean when installing. Also, it sat installed on the blown motor which only lasted 30 minutes for almost one year, hence the used for less than 1 hour.
None the less, this item is in like brand new condition. I can wash it for whoever wants it if they'd like.
