I was wondering if anyone had ever set the perload on the Accord Steering rack? I noticed a large cap that had a Allen head on it is this were the adjustment is?

Like older steering boxes on Chevy and most trucks that aren't rack and pinion there is a preload that affects the play in the steering box. I believe most rack and pinions have this but some are adjustable and some are not. Has anyone done this my rack has about 150k now on it and there is some play?

 

I found some info on doing it on some of the civic forms but they had pictures that have been removed.
