Default Header clearance?

Well I have a ITR swap w/ hasport mounts and I want to get a nice header since I am putting on a JRSC. Now on to my questions,
Does any know the header for the best ground clearance??
I have heard get a tri-y.
Will it fit with a full width rad?
I have enough cash for the traction bar and header....right now.
Any other input is great, I am not wanting to spend more then 500 bucks on a header.

try y has great clearance and will clear the full size Rad but not the factory crossmember (unless you section it).

Headers + EFs = clearance issues.

It's a rather oversimplified truth. But still a truth.

If you are running a JRSC Kamkazi header is pretty much your best choice anyway, it's tuned for a roots/eaton blower. Time and again it seems to out do high end n/a styled headers.

Traction bar wil free up some room but unless you are running a long tube drag style rad fit mint shouldn't be an issue, but these cars have shifted with age and well, don't hold any of this to a truth. Sadly measure and bringing a hammer is often the case.

It's true but with any (95%) header you choose for an EF (B-Series) you will have to notch the crossmember (which is a cheaper route then doing the traction bar setup). I have talked to a guy that tried 3 headers on his B16/EF: Type-R replica, Tri-Y, and RMF replica. He told me that the 4-1 Type-R replica has the most clearance, and I can't remember which of the other 2 are lower but they are LOWER.

The Logic Motorsports IMO looks to be the best designed header that has the most clearance.

you can use the rmf narrow replica. I know that there is a thread on here about fitment. Looks pretty good.

If you plan on lowering your car really low any header will get beat up. But, if you just lower it to a finger gap or two you will be okay. I have a 1991 CRX with a B16A which is supercharged (JRSC). Also running a full radiator with a Full Race traction bar setup. And I am lowered 1 finger gap with no issues with my JDM ITR header. Only on huge speed bumps I need to go sideways. But on normal ones going straight is fine. If you ask most of the supercharged honda guys/girls. The Kamkazi header will be the header of choice for a JRSC kit. And you should not spend no more than $250-$300 for a header for your setup.

It won't bolt up to a stock cat because of the bolt pattern plus it's really small, plus you don't want to restrict your exhaust like that. Look into picking up a high-flow cat from Vibrant or Magnaflow. They range from $70-$120 for a universal; you will want a 2.5" universal cat. If you want it to have flanges then it will cost you more, or just have some flanges welded on (don't know what kind).

I guarantee you it will be loud, you can trust me on that. I'm was running a Magnaflow high-flow cat + canister muffler and it was loud; so I added a Magnaflow resonator which did quiet it down more but it's still not as quiet as the brand name exhausts. Plus, save the environment! I'm serious.

Yeah I figured the flanges alone were gonna cost me over 45 bucks and I should be able to just cut out the middle and slip in a cat.

i just put on a comptech header today. clearance was not an issue with the crossmember, except it had to be removed and reinstalled to get the header in since it is a one piece. as for gound clearance my coil sleeves are bottomed out and there doesnt seem to be anyissue.

I had similar problems many moons ago, but I was able to get a prototype header from a local company that did away with all clearance issues.
