this is very easy to do.
the hardest part would be to remove the old radiatior support but rest is easy

i think you should fix it because all you would need are fenders, hood, bumper cover and 1 headlight. Do that and its also cheaper than buying a whole shell. and you bypass the engine swap work. just IMO. good luck bro

check if the frame is not bent. if not then go for it. if it is then its not worth the fix

I wouldnt know how to do that take the old radiator support of because its welded on right? so i would have to take it to a body shop? my dad got an estimate for my fix and they told him $1400. Is that a good deal?

ya true i just need a new whole front end and fix the radiator support. and also
the thing that bothers me is that my car is a salvage title already supposedly from theft recovery.

It actually doesn't look that bad. However, if you have the money to buy a new car I would do it. How much longer do you want to keep spending money on a 10 year old car?

It will last 400,000km+, so if that's how long you want to keep it, then it will last you 10+ more years.

You are right, it will probably run forever. Although after 10 years a car really starts to feel old. Everything from the seats to the bushings get worn out.

did the insurance company salvage it out again? I'm very **** when it comes to clean/salvage titles. If I'm building something special, then I won't buy a salvage title. If you're just looking for a daily driver, who cares? Just fix it. It'll be cheaper than the $1400. You can get a whole new front clip for maybe 500? Try to do the work yourself and you'll be a proud man. Take it to the body shop for whatever you can't do.

Don't even trip about it too much.

well the thing is the car was already a salvage. So it cant really be a salvage car again can it? lol well am trying to see if i can find a nice decent clean civic mainly a 95 ex coupe or sedan and must be stick shift. Ya i would love to work on it but the problem is the $ too. a new front clip for my ek? how much wil that b? and how much wil it be to slap it on?.

From what I understand a salvage car is easier to total in the event something else happens since the car is now determined to be worth less.

You can use salvage parts on a lot of this. Try car-part.com to help you source parts. eBay an the Marketplace here are also great resources.

As far as "ten year old cars feel old", my '98 sure as hell doesn't feel old and nor does my '93 even though it has over 200k on it. Take care of your cars and they won't wear out so badly. It's just plain not worth it to dump cash into a brand new car just because it's got brand new seats and bushings.
