A few suspension questions.
Alright, so I have a 1997 Milano red DX coupe. Right now I'm rolling on GSR fat fives with Fuzion Zris and I'm lowered on Tein s techs. I came across some money recently, which I plan to use on suspension. I'm definitely getting Koni yellows with GCs eventually.
Question 1: is there any reason why I shouldn't put the yellows on now and the GCs a little later?
Question 2: what else do I need? Bushings? LCAs or anything like that?
I'm also installing a rear sway bar, I already have the LS one, is it worthwhile, or should I spring for an aftermarket one or something?
Thanks for all the help everyone!

Q1: Unless your bored I wouldnt put the yellows on kinda a waste of time to take install them just to have to take them apart again.
Q2: I did bushings with mine but imo it's a case by case thing. I would also recomend a camber kit and an alignment.

Thanks for the advice. I got an alignment after putting on the s techs.. would I still need one just for replacing the shocks? Any brands recommended for the bushings? OEM?
if your bored i guess, i mean it only take a few minutes per shock so i guess go for it.
you could look into new oem rubber bushings, or mugen (really pricey), pic or hardrace bushing which are rubber but harder then stock or energy suspension poly bushings.
getting lcas is one of those "look at me things" stocks work just fine but aftermarket look better.
the rear sway depends on what you want- there is the ctr which is 22mm or si which is 13mm i dont know what integras are. any bigger i reccomend a asr bar or something. subframe tear out is a bad bad thing.
and NOOO dont get a camber kit, they are a waste of money, get a 4 wheel alignment and your good to go, camber doesnt wear your tires fast at all.

Yeah, I'm not trying to start the camber kit debate in this thread, but I agree... I have negative camber from lowering and it's perfectly fine.

yea because your shocks are what connects the wheels to the top of the car so to speak.
oh and do new bushings since your already there and most of its taken apart.

1. OEM or similar bushings, not polyurethane (known to bind and require more maintenance).
2. Type R rear LCA, best mod I ever did.
3.. New Type R shocks (I like Bilstein, monotube and lifetime warranty. Expensive though).
3. Keep the S.Techs, especially if going with the stiffness of Bilstein shocks. If it's primarily on the road you don't need stiff springs at all.
4. Front and rear shock tower bars.
5. Subframe brace or tie bar, you don't need both.
6. Type R rear sway bar.
8. Four wheel balance and alignment.
7. If you have the extra cash an H brace up front.
Voila! One of the best suspensions known to man, especially given the cost.

Type r lca? best mod? you do know he has a 96-00 and a type r lca wont fit. type r shocks- same thing dont fit rear without type r lcas but as i already said they dont work.
My mistake, I have a 94. Forgot he (or she!) had a 97 and started listing my setup. Yes, it was the best modification I did to my DD, turning my DX suspension over to a Type R. Simple and very effective mod. Worst mod was the rear disc, so expensive and gave me such little performance gain. Have to look good though right?
