I just installed a Pioneer avic-z110bt. Everything seemed to be working fine. But then noticed that when I turned the volume up to loader levels the sound jumped around from front to back and then both around and around. I checked all wiring and everything looks good. What could cause this?

Make sure none of your speakers have any shorts in them. If not and your sure you have everything wired up correctly then you need to send the unit back for warranty repair. I have installed over 20 of them and personally own 2. I only had 3 that were bad out the box. Also make sure this radio receives a good ground and not off the radio harness.

I have it in a 04 gmc envoy with the bose system so i had to use the addapter for that and the onstar. Do you think that could have something to do with it?

I thought this was in a honda, This makes it a whole new ball game. What adapter did you use? I would reccomend the metra GMOS-04.

I'm using the Axxess GMOS-04 its the one suggested on crutchfield. I also have the e-brake wire grounded like I had on my Avic-N1 but come to find out it can tell that its not hooked up correctly to the e-brake and wont pass video will driving. Could that cause the problem or an adjustment to the adapter is needed maybe .

axxess is metra...... the harness should give you all the wires needed to hook up the navigation. If it is the newer model. We are venturing off into 2 different questions now. The parking brake issue will not cause the problem you are having with the sound. Also grounding the parking brake wire will not allow you to play dvds while driving. There are other sites to show you that. Its against t.o.s. here. And is very dangerous.
Make sure the mute wire is capped off. If it sees ground it could cause this. I would adjust the gain on the gmos to see if that would help. One thing I would strongly reccomend is ditching the bose sound system all toghter. Find some new front speakers and rear and toss them in. You will like that option better. If not i will try to walk you thru this.

Thank you. I had forgoten about the adjustments on the gmos. Tweeking the gain on the gmos seems to have done the trick. Now I just need to do the bypass.
