my car has a d16z6 with an auto but the car is shifting at 6500 and not going to the 7200 rmp limit. with the tune i have thats where the car really wakes up. the only time i can get it to go to 72 is if i put it in 1 and hold it there untill 7200 but it only does it in first. all other gears shift at 6500. the car is a DX as is the tranny but the ecu is a chipped p28 auto. any help would be great.

 

you won't get the tranny to shift at 7200. the ECU won't allow it, you'd have to reprogram the shift points and i don't even know if there are any programs out there that have that option.

 

get a stick and then there will be no problem shifting where you want to. lol

 

the ecu is out of a ex that shifted at 7200

 

the wife doesnt want to learn how to drive stick lol so cant do that one

 

ahhhh fair enough lol. i dont know then.

 

also the car isnt going into torque converter lock up
