Default EF Acting up

My ef was running great a few days ago Untill i downshifted to second gear and it started backfiring rapidly it was the distributor button that was messed up so it was replaced. Now it runs like **** and tries to cut off at idle what could be wrong with it?

Its a d15b1 btw and its a 4 speed manual.

If someone else replaced the button. Then yeah take it back to them but first try simple things like snapping your plug wires down all the way. Because IMO it sounds like they didn't catch somethin out of adjustment.

If you had it done professionally, why don't you talk to them and let them know that your car is having problems since their work was performed.
