you're correct. alot of times you'll get a radiator from advance or some other parts store and it will be a generic radiator for either auto or manual.

 

yep it'll be fine. i've been running like that for about two years. use a wrench to remove the metal "nipples" that the cooler hoses connect to so it'll look a little nicer. you don't need any block offs or anything, just leave it open.
