Squeak From Hell, Help!
Sup guys,
well i'll start off by saying that i have a squeal on my drivers side coming from the axle/tranny area. Also one of my calipers (drivers side) was semi locking on me, rotor had heat spots. I went out, bought both calipers, rotors, and pads. Just to clear any confusion i disassembled caliper, pads, rotor. Just A hub on the car started spinning it looking for the squeal and there it was.
That rules out brakes because their was none and it was still squeaking when i turned by hand. I got under the car to listen closely as i spinned the hub to see where its coming from. All i know is that the sound comes from where the axle and tranny meet area.
What could it be?!! it sounds so bad when it squeak's like that and it does it at low speeds only. What is this?! please help i cant take a type R sounding like a freaking hooptie. thanks guys

upper ball joint??? how would that squeel when he's turning the nub by hand? sounds like you need the steady bearing in between the two axel shafts. if you can get it to squeel when turning it by hand, feel the casting aroung the bearing for vibration or use a stethoscope to pinpoint the noise (you can use a screw driver or metal pipe instead of a stethoscope). You may need to get someone else turn the hub while you listen, just make sure you don't stab yourself in the ear.
