Removing CRX Radiator
So i purchased a half size radiator to accompany my turbo build. Last weekend I tried pulling out the radiator but ran into a lot of problems, if there is a how to can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks
Pulling the stock radiator out is easy, I'm sure you know how. drain the radiator by removing the drain plug on the bottom passenger side, disconnect your upper and lower radiator hoses, disconnect your over flow hose. Unbolt the two 10mm bolts to the radiator tie down and you should be good to go and pull it right out.
What problems are you having?

I still have ac, so the original problems were running into the ac lines, then i pull it most of the way out and realize the connectors attached to either side and i couldnt get them unplugged. Next, i get it most of the way out and the magnet on the left fan (with the larger shroud) gets stuck on the lines (i bent the lines back pretty far but didnt wanna break them so stopped there)
My drain plug is like stripped or something as well, and i couldnt take off the lower hose are it is "fused" or whatever to the radiator and cant fit a screwdriver to un"fuse" it from the nipple, so the radiator is half or most of the way full when lifting it (not too heavy, but still a hinderance). I just unhooked the lower hose from the thermo
You may need to remove the fans first, in order to get the radiator out. There should be some 10mm bolts on the top side of the fan bracket and they should slide directly up and out.

ok i wasnt sure if the fans werew like connected to the fan and honda just wants you to replace the entire setup. Are there any sensors that go into the stock radiator? or are the connectors just like attached to them to keep them out of the way?
The are no sensors to the OE radiator. You may have a ground wire from the drivers side mounting bracket to the valve cover. The fans should unbolt at the top and slide out of a retaining hole at the bottom. The wires to the fans should unplug when you press them in the correct spot. Disconnecting the wire will allow you to get the fans and the radiator out in one piece.
If your hoses are old and cruddy, now would be a good time to replace. You may need to cut them to get them off the radiator anyway. Also, now is a good time to flush the coolant system.
