Weapon R
The Weapon R "Secret Weapon" intake supposidly delivers 3X more air than most intakes...however; I haven't seen any reviews about it...check it out, read about the science to it...it's fairly cheap compared to most other intakes, and if it's supposed to deliver better performance for the same or lesser price, i'd say go for it. In general, i've found that most all intakes, headers, exhausts are the same--maybe varying by 2-3HP at the most...just depends on the model...(e.g. Cold Air Intake, Short Ram Intake, 4-1 Header, 4-2-1 Header, etc.)...anyways, that's my opinion...good luck.
it depends what parts your talking about. an intake is an intake. doesnt matter what its made of or what brand it is as long as it has a smooth inside and no sharp corners your good. a turbo or body part on the other hand is something you want to spend some real money on. personally when i get parts that are 1 peice of metal i go cheap. when they get complicated i go expensive. but weapon R makes decent parts. i got the X-brace rear strut like 2 years ago and i still love that efing thing. just shop around and look at the material their using not the brand name
I currently have a Weapon-R oil catch can on my gsr, from an engineering stand point, the part is of good quality and craftsman ship.
On my old EG hatch i had just a crappy 70 hp d15b8 and i bought a 210 dollar Weapon-R intake (the better one) not the dragon one, and i noticed a monster difference, i think between the effectiveness of the intake and the high restriction of that factory air box, i noticed a lot of gain. The intake has a second smaller tube inside of it, whether or not the "vacuum" really takes place or not, i don't know..
