How do I remove the ECU?

Default How do I remove the ECU?

I unbolted it yet it wont come out, theres no clearance for it to get out? What do I have to remove to get my old ECU out and the new one in?

Please help! lol pics would be nice too

Are you sure got all the nuts remove because sometimes there one hiding the corner.

yes i got all 3 out.
The ecu moves but theres no possible way for it to get out.

So please advise.

I removed my whole dash to get my old ecu out, and put the new one in.
removing the dash is pretty easy.
besides i don't think there was any other way to get that out it just doesn't fit no matter how hard I tired.
just remove your dash.

You cut the plastic brace (covers glove box frame) in the opening of the glove box and throw it away. Then remove the glove box frame. (has four small bolts)

You have to cut the plastic and remove the brace. Otherwise, the ECU will never make it past the glovebox area. I had to do that on my Civic years ago.
