Default Looking to buy a Civic

hey everyone new guy here. I'm looking to buy a civic sometime in the future to replace my current ride (02 Tacoma TRD). I'm definitely wanting a 4dr 7th Gen, is there anything to watch out for when looking for one. My gf has a 2003 4dr ES1 or 2, which I would gladly take off her hands when she wants to sell it. Hope to get some good info from yall. BTW if any of yall are Taco owners, I'm Gr8WhiteTaco on TacomaWorld.
Here's some pics of my taco and gf's civic:

Tacoma boo boo lol

you will make a boatload of money for that taco .. the Toyota dealerships are buying those back for mad $$$$. . I would get the rear fender fixed tho. 7thgen 4dr is a good car though, just dont waste money on I/H/E.

The major problem with the 7th generation is the automatic transmission. If you get one with a stick shift, you should be ok.

Yeah I wanna fix it but I'm going to have to get an entire bed assembly, its not just the fender its bed floor also but luckily there's no mechanical problems with the truck. I've driven my gf's quite a bit and its a very fun car to drive. Pardon my newb-ness but whats I/H/E?

I work at a Toyota dealership and I don't think they are buying back the 01+ any more. It may be 02+, I'm not sure. I know on the newer first generations they are just putting a heavy duty rust protector on the bottom. Unless they think the frame is too bad.

Well me and my dad pulled the dent out as far as we could, but if someone wants to take it off my hands as is then I'll leave it. The tailgate still works and I can still haul stuff in the bed. Its purely cosmetic damage. BTW this truck is modded

a civic will do you good for awhile. i personally would suggest getting a car inspection once you find the car you want. it's a small price to pay for knowing the true condition of the vehicle. just do a google search for "used car inspections" and check out the sponsored links. hope that helps. happy shopping!

Yeah I'd def have an inspection done. I just wish I could find a few thousand dollars laying around so I can keep the truck and buy a 'vic bc I absolutely LOVE my truck, its so fun to drive and will go anywhere

Well we're all entitled to our opinion man. I think the gold ain't too bad looking especially after seeing some modded ones and I can deal with the interior bc its super SUPER clean.
