I have a 1990 ef.. It has a d15b2 but the head gasket blew and there is water in the oil.. So as far as i no it no good. I want to swap it with a d16a6. Doese the tranny and wiring all the same. I no there both obd0. And i think all the d series bolt to the same trans and manifolds..

WRONG!!! The wiring is significantly different, the intake manifolds are completely different, the d16 is mpfi while the d15 is dpfi, and there are even more differences.

Mase............this subject has been covered a billion plus times. do a quick search and you will have more than enough CORRECT information.

If you only want to use the block and head then go ahead and swap them using your original manifold and wiring. Otherwise DPFI to MPFI is required.
