Default Best tire for stretch. 93 civic

Im getting 15x8 axis og's and getting 195-50's. I was wondering what is the best tire for that fitment. I know its not a HUGE stretch. But i want to know what you guys would recommend.

Remember to take some pictures for us when the tires seperate at the sidewalls.

it looks like **** to begin with, last summer my friends and i were coming back for krispy kream and there was a ef hatch with streched tires, going around a corner at around 70-80 on the high way one tire blew, and he smacked the wall.

strected tired are unsafe period! just because you have not seen visual proff doesnt mean anything.

Putting 195s on a 8 inch rim is pretty damn rediculous, 205s are the 'recommeded' size for 7 inch wide tires, rock em for shows but not DDing.

IMO dont stretch tires... you will just be buying new tires sooner than you expect

Run a 215 toyo proxe 4. Trust me i work for a tire shop and have slapped a couple sets on 8" wheels and they ended up working pretty well, and wasnt too huge of a stretch. The toyos are generally a wider tire then other brands as well.

definately not a toyo proxes 4, wrong tread and shoulder construction. That looks more like a T1R style tread.

If you want to stretch tires you need to keep the sidewall as tall as possible since the taller the sidewall is the more flex it is made to handle. The plus is you won't notice the taller height so much since it is now horizontal it will actually bring you closer in height to a series lower tire. (I.e. a 55 series would be closer to 50 series in height since the sidewall is stretched it will pull the tread closer to the rim). Most guys run 50 series or lower tires that are stiff as a board, and overstressing them tearing them apart from the inside causing the above to happen.

I'd run somewhere in the range of a 205/55 series tire to get a nice stretch and a sidewall with more give.
