D15B2 heating problem. HELP!

Default D15B2 heating problem. HELP!

I just bought a 90 CRX yesterday with a D15B2.
I knew it needed a clutch, and thats something im
pickin up today. But all of a sudden started heating up.
im like WTF! Everything seems fine,
water pump aint leaking, radiator is full.
Thermostat? any ideas?
and also my idle is jumpy. from 1k-2k.
worth fixing?
+200xxx miles. on it.

The fans turn on once it gets to half way.

head gasket? thats what i just did to mine. put new rad.hoses.coolant. and still heating up.

i haven't turned it on still need to put the timing belt on

bump, where on the temp gauge should the needle be? mine only ever gets up to about a quarter up, i know on newer cars the temp stays at half way, but mine never gets thtere i replaced my thermo as well or is that normal to have the temp gauge at only a quarter

id say start with a thermostat it may not be opening and its the eaziest and pretty cheap place to start, if that does not fix it probally the head gasket do you have coolant in the oil? the idle problem could be lot of thing one of them is low coolant level, iacv could have carbon build up, or maybe a vacum leak

No coolant in oil. No water leaks anywhere. I think its the thermostat
