It seems that my new civic "grinds" (or cruches) into 2nd gear. The one I test drove did the same thing... is this normal? It does not do that in any other gear unless I clutch wrong. Ive tried engaging the clutch at different intervals but it still crunches in... any comments? does this happen to anyone else? thanks!

we don't have any bulletins or tech notes on it so0. i haven't driven the new si yet so i really don't know they feel but no one yet has complained about the feel or any noises/grinds.

 

supposedly a dude on ephatch got his 2nd gear synchro fixed under warrenty for the same thing. Go there and search for his post.

 

Definitely take that thing back to the dealership and tell them what's up.
