So it looks like myself and others on this forum have been giving out incorrect information for some time now regarding GC sleeves and Koni Sport shocks. I was under the impression that standard GC sleeves (made to fit OE and OE-replacement shocks like KYB, Tokico, etc) could work with Koni Sport shocks with the use of an adapter ring. This is not the case.
According to Trevor at Ground Control, the adapter ring was used with an older version of GC sleeves that were made for the Koni shocks, but those sleeves would not fit OE shocks any more than the current Koni-specific sleeves would. The current design has a smaller-diameter sleeve that matches the Koni shock body diameter with the circlip groove built in, with no additional adapter rings required.
So basically, standard GC sleeves will not work with Koni Sport shocks at all. You can order a "Koni conversion" kit from GC, which comes with replacement sleeves and perches that will fit directly on the Koni shocks and properly capture the circlip.
Cliffs: NEVER use standard GC sleeves with Koni Sport shocks. Get the correct sleeves and stay safe.
Trevor please correct anything that may be wrong here. Or PM me and I'll edit the post.

Yup. I called them a few weeks ago to buy those adapters and they said I had to buy all new sleeves. It wasn't too bad though. I got brand new Koni specific sleeves with brand new perches for $108. Now, if my Koni's would just come in..........
