ok guys so im trying to figure out if theres a difference between the 96-00 ek hatch trunk lift supports. I went to autozone and tried to get the lift supports for my 2000 ek hatch and the guy said that they didnt have any, so then i told him for a 96 ek hatch and he said they did have some for that year but im not sure if they would fit on my 2000 hatch ek? someone told me the difference was that the 2000 lift supports were hydraulic and the 96 are gas. The guy had to order them but I didnt want to because im not sure if they would fit my hatch can anybody help me with that, if I get the 96 lift supports will they fit with no problem on my car????

all i know is that that the 99-2000 are bigger in diamater then my 97, i bought some used (99 or 2000, can't remeber) for my 97 and they fit fine.

 

According to Majestic Honda they are the same parts (97 & 00) hatch.
4887392 & 4887204 Left & Right cylinders for Hatch Tailgate. About $50 each new plus shipping.
