How to pass inspection with a b18 swap
Hi I have a 96 Civic hatch dx and was planning to do a b18 swap. I currently live in Massachusetts and cops right now are harassing every single civic that doesn't seem stock right now. They usually pull you over and if they think you have a different engine they will ask you to pop the hood and check whats down there. If they see that you have a different engine they ask for paperwork. They also check to see if your check engine light is on and they also ask who inspected there car (most people lie about this). Now my question is how can I do a clean b18 swap that will pass inspection anywhere? and How can I get paperwork for the B18 (I got it from a junkyard for cheap, but no paperwork)..........Just trying to beat the system.
*The B18 I got is from a 98 GSR and is OBD2 as so is my car*

Thanks, I was looking around for a distributor for a 93 Integra LS and as I was leaving the GSR arrived so pop the hood and told them to tow the car to my house (only about 2 miles away) and they did. The GSR was MESSED UP though
. someone had crashed it and the entire back of the car was crushed in. The car was stock so i guess the previous owner treated it well. anyways it cost me $800 for the crushed GSR and I paid the driver $20 to drive it to my house haha.

Get some kind of receipt of purchase or any form of paperwork from the junkyard you got it from, at least that would be my best guess of "official" paper work. And to make sure the motor's clean running / no CEL, make sure all your smog parts are hooked up and working properly. I know they're a PITA when it comes to OBD2 cars.
