We swaped in a K24A2 in my sons 02 RSX Type-S & we use a Kiddracing header. The oem sway bar will not fit. Does anyone on here have this same set up? If so what swaybar did you use?
Sense the KRRH is a copy of the Buddyclub header I would guess that a swaybar that will clear it will clear the KRRH.

 

You can use the EM2 sway bar or Type R sway bar...

Even though the DCRH is junk I'm the luckiest guy ever to clear the sway bar with a k24 swap.


The EM2 was the sway bar I would recommend also.

 

So does the JDM Type R sway bar bolt on the Type-S? Does the JDM sway bar clear because if the angle its at or by the height?

 

Its bolts right up... We all have the same design they just got better parts...

 

I thought you needed to run the dc5r lca's in order to run the dc5r front sway bar? I was told to look for the EP3R front sway.

neither the oem s bar nor the 15.9mm em2 fit in a dc5 with a k24 swap. i'm swayless in the front for now. and the krrh is an ssr rep, not bcrh rep

The guy that makes the KRRH told me it is made to fit both k20 and k24. So he was lying?

 

Its a marketing ploy.

Yes it bolts onto the engines of both, but to the catback is a different story. Its basically an RSX-S header.

The only thing I can think of doing for more clearance on the Kiddracing is to "separate" the pipes a little to create more clearance. Or just run no sway up front.

 

I have a 05' 5 speed rsx and I am planning on a type r header and a greddy evo 2 (buying from a type-s friend). After doing some research found out that I needed a new front sway bar and people on forums said the em2 should do the trick to give clearance for a new header. Would the em2 sway bar fit on the Ka2 and will the type-r and greddy evo 2 be a good set-up?

 

type r header is a waste of money bud.. and unless u get both pieces of it, its gona be a bad time. em2 sway will work for your car yes but... like i said why use the type r header tho.. you have a better chance to a good fit with the stock rsx-s header if yer not going to buy an aftermarket header.

 

/\/\ agree. ITR header is just an OEM header. Unless its free, its pointless.

As for the swaybar, I'm pretty sure theres only a certain year EM2 that will work. Not sure on DC5s, but I know on EP3s, people have gotten the standard 2003 EX EM2 sway bar and it didn't fit. I was told the 2005 Civic EX one will work, but its only hearsay, good luck.

 

you have to get the smaller one.. the thicker one works but its thick and can still be in the way a bit.

This thread talk been posted awhile ago but the question wasn't answer. i have the same set up k24 with PLM race headers (KCCH REP) I had the EM2 sway installed before the k24 swap and it doesn't clear. as we all known.... so what sway bar will clear this issue..

 

Worst case scenario, don't run a sway bar. I didn't and it handled fine.

 

i'm not running a front sway with my asp header either. wouldnt clear the stock one and i was too lazy to try my em2 bar.

it's a little darty on rough roads. but that just makes driving all the more interesting.
