neuspeed koni yellows + sportlines?
can i run this combo or is it made specifically for neuspeed springs? i've got tokico blues that need to be taken out so i want to upgrade to the koni yellows. i don't know much about the neuspeed specs, however from the little i've read, i think i will benefit from the shorter shock...it'll be in a '97 civic coupe. since i am using springs instead of coilovers, i'm thinking i'll get some use out of the neuspeed spec adjustability
thanks.
thanks.
I have been through this with my own car the last couple days. Here is what I have found, Neuspeed yellow "racing springs" 450lbs front 385 rear, will drop your car to the ground, non-adjustable, hard as a rock, will make your car plow like a bulldozer (thats understeer). Really save your money and buy some height adjustables at least or go for some teins or something. I have your setup and I hate it, it's just no good. Looks cool, rides like *****. handles ok but thats on the street, at the autox, I get owned by the truenos.
well, i've had the sportlines on my car for years now...i'd really just like to upgrade the shocks as my rear sinks for some reason...this is why i feel my tokico blues were a huge letdown. i'm just wondering if the neuspeed-spec koni yellows can only be used with neuspeeds or whatnot and if they offer any other incentives over a regular koni yellow.
i don't think i'd ever really use coilover adjustability...with the koni's i just like the ability to adjust comfort levels a bit on my daily driver

Call neuspeed, there are tons of shocks that you can use with their springs, however, if it is comfort you are looking for, the yellows aren't for you, I would like to actually go softer because the yellows are really stiff and will rattle your car apart. You will want the adjustability, buy it if you can afford it. Also, after you drop the car you alignment will be out, as is mine, and you with either need a camber kit to fix it, or just eat tires and rotate often. The yellows are really only good for racing or smooth as glass pavement. Your rear end is sagging either because your damper is shot or your springs are sagging, so it's time for new ones. my 2cents
i have the koni/neuspeed yellows with h&r sport springs and i think the ride is very comfortable when set to full soft. you should have no problem using your sport line springs with them.
