water on gsr?????
i just picked up a gsr swap last and today while i was checking it i removed the sparkplugs, there was a large amount of water like if the swap was sitting outside and got water inside when it rained. is this a big issue ? thanks
It sounds like it was sitting outside without the spark plugs out of the motor allowing water to drain into it before you bought it.. When you bought it they probably threw some spark plugs in it and sold it to you as is hoping it wouldn't hydrolock your motor.. I'm with the guy above me I would see if you could get your money back..

this is confusing... metal and water do not mix... if you had just a little water on top of the plug that shouldn't be an issue... dry everything off really well.. if it is under the plug in any way, then get your money back if you can... check the oil and make sure it's only oil in the pan... that's a scarry deal... last thing you want is to put the engine in and it don't run or seize becasue of the water...
ok well yesterday that i post this, i didn't have the block in front of me but i went to check it out and there was a bit of water on top of the 4th spark plug , like they washed the engine andwas a bit of water there , i checked the oil and oil is fine theres no signs of water there
i think that you will be fine... as long as you are sure about the water only being on top and not under the plug in the cylinder then it's all good. That's my opinon. and if it's not a lot of water it could be condensation as well...
