ive been looking at the faq and haven't found an answer. first it has fluctuations during idles but only sometimes im not too worried about this. its the part were it will what i can only explain as a "choke or sneeze" or cut out power for just a split second . sometimes it will multiple times and die. it would usually start back up no problem if it died and continue with its little jolt or what ever they are. sometimes itll even die for a 10 second and start on its own again. the other night it died almost 30 times with in 13 minutes, i was only a mile from home so i would constantly try to start it and go as far as i could go before it would die. what ever these jolts are i can hear them ever few seconds when it idles but they onyl occur randomly when im driving maybe about once every 10 minutes. i read my ecu code and the little red light flashed 17 times indicating my vss vehicle speed sensor is having trouble??. spark plugs seems fine, a little browning on them but no oil or anything that looks screwed up. i checked my intake air control valve and it didnt seen to gunked up. its gotta me something with air or fuel. i hear a slight hissing somewhere within the vicinity or around of the iacv. should i just go get ripped ff by some mechanic cause i cant figure it out

 

does it happen when you hit a bump or anything like that. almost sounds like power is cutting out from a loose wire or something like that. could even be your igntion switch.

 

no not when it hit a bump just when im driving and lately after it stalls out it will continue to stall out right after starting.why would my engine be throwing me a vss default.

 

maybe your vss is bad but that wont cause what your car is doing.

 

mine did what you are explaining when i had a burnt up ground wire. replaced it with a much thicker wire, problem solved.
