Default p30 vs p61?

hey all i have a 1993 civic sedan that i swapped a b16a2 from a 1999 civic SIR, its running on obd1, i had the stock engine harness modified for vtec and such, i had a p30 for it but it turned out to be an auto p30, so my friend hooked me up with a p61 from a 1992-1993 gsr to run on for the time being. it runs fine and hits vtec strong and all, but my friend just came across a usdm obd1 p30 he found in his basement. apparently it used to be chipped(with a cheap ebay chip) and had some water damge to it but it looks absolutly fine. he gave it to me for free and i tried it out, it seems to run fine i took it for a little putt around the block and it runs just the same. i opened it up and it looks fine inside, is there anyway to tell if it has had water damage or been chipped before? thank you

I can't tell you much about the water damage, as each situation is different, but water and electronics generally don't mix.

As far as the difference between a P30 and P61, i personally don't think there is one. I mean the P61 from the 1.7L 92-93 gsr should run any stock B16A perfectly fine!
