!!!!b16a and y1 lsd tranny, starter questions please help ASAP!!!!!!!!
so ya i think my starters dead not sure, probly is, but i hear a click, but no starter engagin, happened the other day and then it finnaly started, today put exhuast back on, and now starter seems dead. yes the battery is fine (have a voltage meter). once again its a b16a with a y1 lsd, my buddy has a 93 accord wagon with a f22, want to know if i can use the starter from the f22 cause its new (he got a new car). so basicly will the f22 starter work for me or no? if not anyone in the New Haven CT area have a starter that there trying to sell that i could purchase from you. if so please tell me thank you. need to get car running asap. also it seems as if the starter solenoid is shorting out or something, if so can i replace just the solenoid, and yes i checked my connections to starter, and cleaned the connection to the battery and so on.
bump.
iv been searching since iv posted this and came across nothing. if someone can help that would be amazing. once again, mainly want to know if a starter from a 93 accord f22 will work in my b16a

also was just reading the another thread (https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/hard-starting-issues-2689008/) about hard starting issues. and it seems like his problems were similare. (but he has a k20) and its sometimes i have to sit there and turn the key a couple times to get it started. like he said it seems as if you could pump the gas like a carburated car it will start, but you cant. also sometimes when i would turn the key it doesnt turn at all. could this be the main relay like he was asking. and no i havnt tried pop starting it, dont really like pop starting my car unless absolute need be (in past cars iv killed the linkage and dont do it unless need be anymore, but thats beseides the point.)

already cleaned the starter wire connecting ot the starter, to the battery terminal, checked the ground. and like i said it seems that the solenoid is shorting out it doesnt crank but theres like an electrical almost poping noise coming from the solenoid. any suggestions what that could be? dont wana get another starter and have it fry on me. will tripple check the ground in a little though

but no body thinks it could be the main relay?? and if so the main relay on the 95 coupe fuse box is the middle one correct? (was looking at a diagram i foud the other night but forget)
Main relay controls the fuel pump, not the starter.
The 90-93 Integra starter should be the most direct starter if you are running a Y1 tranny. The only other problem you could have is a bad ground, i've seen that happen before!

ya trying to wait till someone else gets to my house cause im about to kill my car. spent since friday working on the exhuast running straight from the headers so i couldnt drive it anywhere except right up the road where i was working on it and back without getting pulled over. finnaly get the exhuast all squared away and it wont start. but it started 45 minutes earlier when i backed it into the garage to put up the exhuast (by myself hanging the stupid hangers is fun byyourself holding the exhuast up too)
