do i need iab for gsr swap?
i need to pass emissions but i live in washington state. im currently doing my wiring on my 98 ex for a 99 gsr swap right now and i read that the iab doesn't throw a code. so is it possible for me to remove the iab from the gsr and not worry about the secondary butterfly? any help would be great since i am putting the motor in today.
yes. you can wire them open to stay open all the time. or open the manifold and cut out the butterflys and bolt it back together....or you can take off the crappy manifold and throw it in the garbage where it belongs and buy a type R copy. (some jdm gsrs had them) the look jus like skunk2 intake manifolds and you can get them for like $50-100 on ebay. and they flow better and are lighter. and you can ditch the big heavey intake mani bracket on the bottom
i plan to get me a skunk2 manifold when i do my clutch. if it doesn't effect my emissions i have to do after i finish the swap then it's all good.
