Default something whistling

there is something whistling really loud under my hood and i cant find it. it whistles everytime i get on the gas then it will go away. does anyone no wat it could be.

you'll need to post what kind of car you have, motor, if you've changed anything, where the "whistling" sound is coming from, you need to provide is with more information than what you did

i have the same problem...i dontnkow whrer its coming from but i suspect from the front of the car

is it sqeaking or whistling, do you hear it with the hood popped or when you're driving the car

^^I can only imagine that would be the case. I have heard a few different air filters that whistle when you reduce the air flow(let off the gas) Some are louder than others

I would take the filter off first to see if that changes the sound. then you will know if that is where the sound originates

MIne does the same thing. Im going to get a new filter.

the whistling you hear is your intake. its totally normal. theres a reason your stock intake is so complicated compared to aftermarket ones, so there is zero noise. i personaly like it.

I have an CAI and even after I installed a new filter it still whistles, it's normal.

It's not the intake ( per say ). It's the fact that you no longer have a resonating chamber. You know that thing that was part of the stock intake that was in your bumper?

What really is going on is the air is whistling as it's passing your throttle body. I have an aftermarket TB that has a little bit thicker plate and I don't whistle nearly as much as i did in the past.
