Need help!! Extremely stumped...
My Integ will crank but won't start. It died on me while on the highway and now will not start. I was told by my dads friend it was an issue with the ignitor or ignition coil because it wasn't getting any spark, so i got them tested and both were bad, along with the dizzy, so I replaced it. Slapped the new dizzy in and the car still won't start and still will not get any spark. Any ideas?? I'm about ready to push the damn thing over a cliff!!
Yeah the fuel pump turns on, when i modded the engine I upped my fuel pump and put a kill switch near the wheel, when i turn the key and and hit the switch you can hear the pump switch on and put fuel to the engine. And no i haven't checked the main relay, how do you recommend i do that? just the "3clicks test'?
sounds like a typical honda distributor taking a ****. try borrowing a known working distributor...if thats not it maybe the timing belt jumped a tooth

Try another dizzy if you have one around, im going through the same **** right now. Hopefully your issue is easier to track down than mine..
I just slapped a new dizzy on it, and when the thing crapped out on me on the highway I noticed that it had jumped time, so I replaced the timing belt thinking that was the original problem, but still no start. I'm telling you guys, this thing is really puttin me through the ringer.
I requested a short story for a title.

even if it jumped a tooth and tweaked a few valves it would still make an attempt to fire and pop and make some racket.i had a no start situation with my 98 integra and it turned out to be the ignitor (no codes were thrown when it went out)
maybe try and get a cell phone vid or something for us to listen to for maybeother possible issues

ok so 5+ people say their ignitor went bad...if you bought a NEW dizzy then it should have a warranty...try trading it out for a new one and try it again. thats your best bet.
It wasnt starting with THE OLD BAD IGNITOR AND DIZZY. I had both of those tested and they were bad, SO I BOUGHT A WHOLE NEW DIZZY. I PUT THE NEW DIZZY IN AND THE CAR STILL WON'T START.
ok...so take the new dizzy back and get another one then try again. not a hard concept. and im not sure what the agc fuse is. the ecu/ecm fuse will disable the dizzy from creating spark and wont tell the fuel pump to spray fuel to the engine.
Let me say this again:
Try a known working distributor.
Those advance auto/autozone **** units sometimes don't work and/or dont come with a coil/ingniter

did you get a new dizzy or a oem rebuild one?Ive heard alot of people say that the NEW dizzy are crap and u have to keep trading it in till you get a good one.Alot of people say to stick with an oem rebuilt dizzy.
3 bolts...line it up the way the old one was and BAAMMM your done. not hard. this is the easiest thing to do to test it. then return your "new" dizzy and get another new one if its bad.
