Default Headers for b16a

Just wondering what would overall be a better header style while still getting the best bang for the bucks, by that I mean 4-1 or 4-2-1 (2 peice) and a type (DC, Tri-Y...)? My motor will be pretty much stock besides bolt on's from intake, TB, CAI, Exhaust system, port&polish and other minor little things. I've been looking at ebay at their Tri-y headers for the b16 and kind of got my confused because in the descriptions on some it says that the A/C, P/S/ wouldn't work and raditaor won't work and needs to be placed somewhere else. Also i'll need to do a custom exhuast system. So lmk what you guys think and weigh in on this. And what do you guys think about the ebay Mugen headers or the ITR knock off's pretty much? They're cheap, but are they cheap because they're crap headers? Again I want to spend as little $$$ (no more then 350), but also want the full benefits of the headers. So I know i won;t be buying those cheap *** ebay headers for 20-100 bucks, but yeah anything and ever thing would be helpful. Thanks

IMHO, I would look for the DC JDM 4-1 header for your car. It should be in your price range and is one of the better matched /bang for the buck headers on B16/18's. I had one on my old B16 and was quite happy with its performance.

x2 you could even buy my dent-free OEM Type-R 4-1 if you wanted to.

If you search the dyno charts posted, you will see b16s do very well with the Mugen style headers. Just make sure its really the same design and they aren't just using Mugen in the description to get more search hits.

Spoolin' makes a nice one: http://www.spoolinperformance.com/sp...der-p-464.html

I got a good deal on a Greddy 4-2-1 so I bought it.

88Hachy's OEM Type R header would be a great place to start.OEM quality and Type R's made 195-200 hp from the factory so it will flow enough for your engine. Clean it and get it ceramic coated and you're good to go.

Greddy makes a good underated header for what it is, I think any decent header with a nice 2.5 collector is going to be good for mild cars.
