Default My street car made racecar

Fully built B16A OBX 40mm ITBS, RC 440cc injectors, Hondata s300, and to many things to list. Laid down 232 on the dyno but still might see some more power next time I go back still working on the A/F ratio. Turn it 9500rpm with no problem and if you want to know how, its because I'm a machinist and spent to much to talk about about and took a year to build the motor.

Only thing I had to do was drill and tap a couple of holes to mount the intake temp sensor in one of the runners. Other then that they are great. Still trying to figure out what to do for vacuum for the booster. Thinking electric vacuum pump?

That harness isnt looking too cool. Dont think they are supposed to be installed bolted to the back hoop like that.
The seats.... im not too sure about those either.
Rate it? There isnt a bling catagory for racing or autocross.
What do you intend to do with it?

Are you looking for constructive criticism or what?

<--- Also doesn't get the "rate it!" thing.

Paul, some harnesses actually can mount to the harness bar like that...sort of. If you take a look at sound circle track cars, they bolt there. However, the little tab this guy welded on to do that doesn't look all that sturdy. There is also no diagonal in the main hoop (and with the "door bars" looks like it was/is a drag cage).

nice to see that 40mm throttle bodies will support that kind of power, i always knew people were going way overkill with their 48mm setups on motors that only make around the 200 mark.

That's what i thought Adam the cage didn't look right.
The birds nest of harness all over the place too.

I'm very surpirsed at the power numbers using what appears to be a DC Sport header.

That's what I kept thinking to myself!! What's the bore and stroke? How much torque? Hell, if you don't mind share a complete spec/mod list for the motor...

Describe fully built?
Head work?
block?
Not doubting numbers just want to know what you did to achieve them.

Everyone wants to know the detail of my motors. Sorry guys can't. To give you a hint got almost have 11k in internals. I have over a 150hours plus on the the flow bench and head, alot of titanium.I also spent about four month dry assembling the motor, checking clerances, blueprinting, hand grinding the bottom of the piston and when its fully assembled with the rings, rod, and bearing so they are all with in .0001 grams of weight of each other. Balanced flywheel. Knife edged crank. Money, Money, Money. I'm lucky to still have a wife. This motor was put on a engine dyno and was broke in with 50hours of run time with a stock manifold and 68mm throttle body. I've turned this motor 10,200 at about 5 to 10 sec intervels about 10 times and had no issues. Only thing I worried about is the oil pump coming apart. So, when I tune this motor in the car I set the rev limit at 9400. But on the engine dyno the power doesnt fall off until about 9900. Another thing the cams I designed and had custom ground. Vtec comes on a 4900 and its a real nasty change over from the first lobe.

As for the 4 point harnesses guys I just have them in car for right now so I can drive once every couple of weeks so the battery doesnt die. I got about another 5 to 6 months of work if not more. Making flat floor pans for the front. Aluminum door panels. doing a wiring tuck. I just got the motor in. Still have most likely 2 or 3 full days more of dyno tuning. Buying a electric vacuum pump from SSBC so the brake booster has its own source of vacuum. Fabing a complete alumninum dash and going with a full digtal gauge cluster and also building a spot to mount my little laptop in the middle of the dash so I can keep a eye on everything. Also got wilwoods 11'' brake kit and stainless steel lines that still have to be put on but I'm waiting on the vacuum pump to get here. Most likely when I redesign the dash I'm going to redo the front of the cage to be a full craddle and also thinking about tieing it into the front strut mounts.

Heres a Mini me I built for this car to begin with and sold it right off the stand. Never got to put it on the engine dyno, but I did see it turn a 13.7 in the quater mile in a completely empty 93 hatch

Your numbers make a lot more sense now. I believe they are crank numbers, not wheel horsepower, right?

Honestly with 11k in internals... I think it would be 236 wheel horsepower.
