Need to replace brakes
Alright guys, I haven't done brakes on my car ever since I bought it and now its really time to do it.
I have a 96 civic ex coupe which has front discs and rear drums. I only street drive my car, but I want it to stop well...safety first.
I haven't been active on car forums for a while actually and I am kind of out of the loop about what brakes to get. I remember that before everyone raved about getting brembo blank rotors and hawk hps pads for the fronts.
Is that still the case now? What should I do about the drums? I don't think I am willing to do a disc conversion, so what is good for the drums?
Also what about brake lines and brake fluid? Any more suggestions? Thanks!

Unless your planning on driving really hard, any good quallity brake rotor and pad setup from an auto parts store will work just fine. As for drums, there isnt really any high performance drums or shoes, so just buy good ones from the parts store.
DOT 3 brake fluid only!
Brake lines, unless worn or rotted out, sholdnt need to be changed. And if you dont do a lot of heavy braking, then you shouldnt need anything like stainless braided brake lines. If your gonna replace the rubber lines, then you should only consider upgrading the lines if the cost is cheaper than buying the original style.
