Default bad ecu questions

heres the deal. did an si swap on my dx crx 1990. car started and ran fine wen we was done. shut car off next day car wont start so we go to jump it and nothing. ecu lite on all the time bad ecu. well there was a ground from the vc that did not get hooked up the first time we started it and my buddy said that was the cause of the ecu goin bad. ok so if i replace the ground and the ecu shud i b good or is there sumthing else that i shud look for. hate to by an ecu and have it do the same thing. once again the car started and ran fine the day we got done w the swap. thanks h-t.

The ground on the VC will not make your ECU work. The only ground associated with the ECU would be the main ground on the Thermostat housing. This is the main spot for all the ECU grounds.

More than likely you will need a new ECU if the LED light is staying on. Maybe if you are able to, borrow an ECU from a friend and check to make sure.
