Maint Req'd light
The light came on my girls car, I had it come on once in my integra and it was just a preset factory light that came on when the factory recommended changing my timing belt. Is it possible hers is just the same and could be shut off by pressing a switch under the wheel?

Usually it goes off every 5000 miles as a reminder to change the oil. Here is how you reset it:
You put your key in
leave the key in off and hold the trip meter reset button for 5 sec
keep holding the button and turn the key to the ON or II position
keep holding until the light turns off
If all it does is reset your trip meter, go back and try it again
