b17 swap bogging down
I swapped a b17 out of a 92 gsr integra into a 93 ls integra recently and ever since i got it running it has been randomly bogging down. It doesnt do it a lot but i know something is wrong while accelerating, especially going up a hill. I did obvious tune ups on the motor when swapping it (fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor etc.) I thought I fixed it when i changed the fuel pump but i felt it bog a day or so after. I brought it to a shop to be looked at and they wouldnt mess with it because it was a swap. I'm kinda stuck on where i should go next. Feedback would be great. Thanks
Check your injector clips, sounds like a fuel problem. Pull them off and check that all the metal connectors inside the clips are still straight and making constant contact with your injectors. Check other various fuel related issues though if this doesn't help
DA's don't have a MAF. Does vtec work properly? Have you checked your mechanical timing? Is it a stock b17a or are there modifications?
Fix your code before even bothering to troubleshoot anything else.

See that the problem. The vtech works perfectly. It's a stock b17 with 70,xxx on it. It runs great other then random bogging. Some have told me the CEL is on because i cut the wires from the gsr wiring harness and pinned them myself into the ecu(3 wires) I don't know how to fix the light if the vtech works and kicks in fine. I never had this problem before the swap with either cars.

Once that problem is fixed, if your other problems are still there, then move onto them. But step one is getting rid of that CEL, in your case it should be a walk in the park.

vtec is only 2 wires pin a4 and b6 i think off the top of my head. knock would be the 3rd wire, not sure what pin that is tho, with out looking a a pin out. but like colin said get rid of the cel and work your way up.
You get any more codes u can go here for reference...

And leave ur wires alone. A lot of people just pin the wire in the ECU. There's noting wrong with it.
Actually Code 21 is VTEC spool solenoid valve. So Im thinkin u need a new vtec solenoid..

You can "think" all you want, but the fact of the matter is that you won't know what is causing that CEL until you do the proper troubleshooting (outlined in the Helms manual). His solenoid valve might be just fine, so what happens if he buys a new one, replaces it and the CEL comes back? He's gonna feel retarded and be out a few bucks. Following the troubleshooting procedure in the Helms will help you determine what is causing the CEL, once you know what the problem is, it'll be easy to fix. No point at taking wild stabs in the dark when the diagnosis should be extremely simple.

All Im trying to HELP him and not be an A**hole.
