Looking for an affordable build for my LS
Hey all, Im looking for a decent build i can do to my 1994 Integra LS It has a mint body decent rims strut bars skunk 2 coil overs and an exhaust nothing special. But im looking to push somewhere within the 300-450hp range without having to go crazy with my money. Now i know that if you want performance you cant lack on the quality wich is why im not saying hey i want a 800hp integra lol. If anyone has any suggestions as to what i could do to make this a viable cause for this summer please let me know. Im new to the honda scene i used to build muscle cars had a 1972 Monte Carlo with a 402 big block all motor pushing 489hp 450 Torque I had to sell it last year due to the economy and i bought this integra for $2000. Its absolutly flawless no rust no rot no body damage except for a missing bumper (Snow) But that can be replaced easily.
This is the car now i would love to do more to it

What do you consider affordable? that is what is the price range you are looking for. I'm reletively new too but i think that 300 on an ls is going to be hard no manner what. with the ls block i think the fastest way to get to your mark is to go the turbo route, but slapping a turbo on a car that didn't come with one factory without doing some major work is dangerous even if you run low psi. don't think it'll reach 300 but you can go the ls vtec route but i know next to nothing about building one. I'm new to this site but here are a couple links to another forum i use that might help as far as a turbo build goes.

Forgot to mention great buy BTW. i have a 2000 ls and love it, just can't do much to it till I find a job. hope it all works out for you whatever you decide to do
Obviously you'll need to do turbo to get that kind of power. If you go turbo, power is relatively cheap. The money is in reliability. You just need to decide whether you want to get VTEC and how much money you can spend, because that will determine how much power you can safely extract from your engine.
no matter what you do your going spend some money. so your hp range 300-450. first strenghten your motor for those kind of numbers. you need a good turbo kit for that range... i think between 15-20lbs of boost should get you those numbers. that is just my opinion on that.
If you're looking to make 300-350whp, that can be achieved on the stock engine with the proper turbo setup and tune. For 350-450whp, a build would be highly advised although people have made that kind of power on stock blocks. If reliability is a concern at all, i would not suggest pushing the stock internals to such power levels. In the end, the choice hinges on your budget.
