A couple GSR questions, ATTN Tech's
I am sadly putting my 96 gsr back to almost stock after it being JRSC. I sold alot of the stock stuff a few years back. I don't need to smog test so I am not really concerned about a CEL, I just want it to run right. Here are my ?'s
1) Is that little vaccum tank under the manifold really neccessary for the secondaries? I currently have one of the small vaccum lines coming off the back of the manifold into the vaccum switching valve for the secondarys, then off the switching valve I went strait into the secondary valve. I did leave the little check valve installed.
2) Is it ok to run it without that big oem intake bracket, or will I run into cracking issues?
3) I am running a stock ecu, and still want to run my endyne breather kit (currently venting to atmosphere). I read a thread on here that said without a pcv valve I will run lean. Wont the fuel trims compensate some?
Thanks for any input.

When you say "close" do you mean when they open up under accel, or are you refering to them "closing" (shutting off) on decel. My thinking was (and I may be totaly wrong), since they don't open until 5500ish rpm, that should provide plenty of vaccum to operate it. And when rpms drop and the switch turns off the vaccum it should close, right?

When you drop below about 5750 RPM, vacuum is applied to close the butterflies again.
