ok got a eg8 d15b for a while now. gonna swap soon now i want b-series or h-series . i have read and searched i just want some opinions if anyone hs had similar swaps which one they like better

 

B18C or B18C5. I wouldn't recommend a B16 just from personal experience. Go big or go home.

 

it depends on what your preferences are.
If you want brute strength and torque then get the H
If you want something with better gas mileage with decent power then get a 1.8 B series vtec motor.

It all depends on you.

If you want the bang for your buck I would go for the H-series over the B-series!

1. H-series cost as much as a B-series!
2. H-Series comes with more HP and TQ over the B-series
3. If your going N/A on a budget H-series would be the way to go!

1. B-series has more aftermarket parts then a H-Series has!
2. With more aftermarket parts comes more HP and TQ in the long run!
3. Depending which B-series you get will determine how much you can do to it without and anything done in the internals!

My suggestion in the end! N/A = H-series
Boost = B-series

 

If you go big or go home / H-series -210-220 HP vs the B18C - 185-210 HP! H-series the way to go! More HP and more TQ!

Go built ls/vtec

I had a n/a built ls vtec in my dc integra (heavier than a hatch) and my friend had a slightly modded n/a h22 eg hatch and i would beat him everytime we raced. Also happened when a friend of mine would drive my car, same results. Remember, just cause it has more power, doesn't mean it's faster!!

I now have a different built n/a ls/vtec in my eg hatch.
