ok the car drove down the street in the AM and made a huge backfire noise. At first i thought it might be the timing belt, i removed valve cover and inspected, timing belt is brand new, i turned the crank to inspect all the way around, no chewed teeth, all looks good.
I then continued to look at the spark plugs, no discoloration, no carbon, and doesnt smell like super gas in there. brand new NGK's
I checked all fuses, all hoses.
I tried to disconnect MAP sensor and start the car , no luck
I also tried to disconnect the MASS AIR FLOW sensor and start the car, no luck
I have a brand new distributor OEM, i looked at the cap and rotor looks good like new. (havnt checked the coil)
when i turn the crank at the crank pully, every thing is in sync and rotates smoothly
I can crank the car, but for some reason it will not start.
the fuel pump primes, i can hear it .
When the car popped, it died immediatly, i tried to throw it into second and let off the clutch and the car would sort of idle going down hill, if i hit the gas the car would just super bog out and not even go above 1500 RPM's. would die if i push in the clutch.
any input is appreciated. thx
