Default iac? on 2000 ex

car died while going down road one day, wouldnt start back, only thing we could get it to do was crank over. distributor was not putting spark to the plugs, so i pulled the cap and rotor button and replaced them, and still nothing. then replaced coil, and finally got spark car finally started and idled, but idles roughly now. doesnt miss while driving runs perfect while driving at constant speed. when i come to a stop light it idles down to about 400 rpms and tries to die if you turn the ac on it feels worse, and when the car is first started and motor is still cold it revs up slowly to 1800 rpms and varies from there. once it warms up it goes down to 1000 and varies from there. when you first start it up and motor is cold and it revs up slowly to 1800 if you rev it a little and let go of the throttle it goes back down to 900 rpms. could this be the iacv or the ditributor or what?? all input is thanked.
