when i bought my car the body was a mess, been trying to fix it up as cheap as possible but im coming across fixing the roof which has a serious dent in it that im trying to figure out how to fix, anyone have ideas? ive tried kicking it up and hitting it up.. taking liner out and going from there nothing seems to work.. it just goes back down when i close door.

Post some pics of the situation your encountering. I do paintless dent repair and may be able to offer some guidance. I just need to see size depth of this said dent.

 

It impossible to tell by your description but it might be past the point of just deforming the metal to get it back into shape. A roof is somewhat delicate where it will 'oil can' if the steel is even a tiny bit streched. Removing any creases and shrinking it with heat might be your only fix.
