Just a stock 88 DX with the stock motor, i keep getting a CEL and loosing power, i noticed yesterday when i let my car warm up in morning that it actually died instead of staying running. ive tried the o2 sensor, i dont really know much about obd0 so im here asking for help.

few other things, it runs pretty rough, as if the idle is low.. the CEL doesnt last but until the car is turned off, i can actually turn the car off while driving, turn it back on and the car runs perfectly fine..

 

Anyone?

 

So the car likes to start studdering when i release the gas, anyone have an idea?

 

you need to check that ECU and get the code.
Move the passenger side carpet off the top of the ECU and turn the key to ON.
The ECU will blink the codes.

 

It could be a lot of things but u wont know what direction to go in until you get the codes from the ecu.

 

Tried getting codes, however they arent showing up.
