Ok guys the other day i had checked my cel on my 92 dx automatic sedan and forgot to pull the jumper wire out of the harness.

Yesterday driving to work the car just out of the blue died for no reason, trailered the car back home car fired right back up, let it idle for a bit and the car started stuttering a bit and then died after about 2 min of running. I then realized that i forgot to pull out the wire and took that out restarted the car and it idled fine. Could this cause this issue? just curious i put over 100 miles a day on this car and i need it running normally. Any info would be fantastic. thank you!

 

also the timing belt was smoking and it smelt like burnt rubber (obviously from the tbelt) but i dont know what would cause the belt to start smoking water pump spins freely motor spins fine, what about the tensioner?
