i currently have this problem with 2 crv's. the handle on the tailgate sticks open and you have to push it back to the closed position. is it just something that needs to be greased? if so where? or is the problem something else? all help and advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

most of the time its rusted..
you have to replace it! i did it with my 2 Vs...i checked at first
i thought it was just stucked or some dirt is messing it but when
i opened the garnish/plate base it was all rusted.. i think it was
one of the common problems that our V has...

Yeah its probably the handle, mine did the same. Got my handle from the dealership for 25 bucks. Helps to work for them.

 

lol. im with redej878. this is for my gf's v, her mom works at honda's engine plant. we have 3 of the plants in a 30 mile radius, and lots of friends that work there. if there where openings i would be trying to work there.

 

my handle is sticky too, does anyone know what the msrp on the handle is from a dealer?
