Hey guys just wanted to make an introduction here, my names Dmitri, I just sold my 08 cobalt ss turbo for financial reasons and im hoping to pick up a 98 EX shell and start my build. Just wanted to make an intro before I start posting away. Anyways heres what my ride looked like before I sold it.

Setup was good for a 12.4 pass on slicks

dont have pix yet, but like i said im picking up a 98 EX shell and im boosting it, problem is I don't know what motor to go with, thinking a b18b though, bore out the cylinder walls to a 2.0, throw on cp pistons,some eagle rods,rod bolts and bearings, my goal is to make 420whp, but I doubt that would enough motor work to hit that limit. My budget is 11k. So heres the financial plan.

EX Shell-800 bucks
Used Decent Turbo Kit - 1,400
Pistons - 800?
Rods - 400?
Used bolt ons such as exhaust,intake,headers etc... 1k
Hondata ECU 1k used plus tuning
Plus other hardware for fabrication and stuff- 1k
Everything else 2k?

Not sure if im going in the right direction here but like I said I'm a newb to this, the whole concept is to build a fresh motor for 4k and boost it with ALL used bolt ons for under 11k and maybe have some spare cake left over for nice recaros and some tires that will hook. Any advice?

 

what are your hp goals? crv motor is a 2.0l fyi

 

my goal is 420whp for now, im curious if I have to sleeve the block for that much power though
