Default 99sil-teg's Geezer Build Thread

Well I figured I would start of a build thread. (sorry for the longest first post ever)

Little back ground, I had a 99 DC4 Autotragic that I traded for this 94 DC2. Car came out of IA and I brought it down to MO. This all happened in Oct 09.

When I bought this car it was bone stock except a ebay air intake and dc sports short shifter.

Here is how it all began

First up was that I put my UKDM tails off my 99 on this one, removed the spoiler and put black meshes on it for a temporary set up.

Then came a rear wiper delete, also picked up some clean 94-97 headlights since mine were pretty much junk.

Also put on Comptech Sport Exhaust

Then it was time for clean up, there was a water leak in the back so I had to dry all that up and clean it up, also removed all the speaker wiring from the system the previous owner had.

Before:

After:

Then I picked up a AEM CAI w/ K&N Filter (Don't worry the gold was gone quick)

My ebrake button was peeling so I figured I would play around and paint one.. I decided on purple but I will probably redo it once I get some other things finished.

I then painted the CAI and installed it, also cleaned the engine bay some

Before:

After:

Then I picked up some slim hids

I then finally got rid of the ratty grey leather for some nice black cloths (kinda dirty in the pic lol)

Then it was time to install the new headlights and hids, also picked up some si-vtec corners

Then one day, my dad and I spent the whole day touching up, washing, waxing, buffing, as the paint was pretty dull.

Then it was time to spend or money lol, I picked up a B16 VC and had it painted Plum Crazy Purple, also got honda badges, a Spoon strut bar, Spoon Rad Cap, and Spoon Duracon Shiftknob.

Then I got everything installed but the badges (cai will be eventually painted to match and boot "sag" was fixed)

Then I got my Wink Mirror installed.. which I love lol

Then I had a fire sale lol, I was very close to getting out of hondas and selling my gsr and getting an E30... but I just couldn't do it. For this time though I sold my ukdm tails, si-vtec corners, and my comptech exhaust. I replaced the exhaust with Apexi N1 exhaust.

So I decided to keep it lol, then came the bad... I hit a deer one night on the way home.

Also I had replaced the driver rear caliper, put new pads and rotors on and also repainted the ricer blue calipers in black.

Then I found a deal on Koni Yellows w/ H&R Springs, so I got them installed, also put on smoked corners but I dunno if I like them lol. Replaced bushings with Energy Suspension Bushings for the LCAS and also got new Honda lca bolts. (Excuse the dirty *** car.. its clean now lol)

Also have another set of si-vtec corners that will go on soon, picked up some sir-g floormats as well. Right now I'm on a wheel hunt so hopefully that will be my next change.

Right now:
I have a white mirror and white fender on the way so that will be fixed soon. Also once I get wheels, I plan on getting another set of ukdm tails. Also I have a header that will be replacing the horrid oem one on it now. Badges will go on as soon as I get a day where my car is clean and it isn't raining. Also have some mudguards to put on as well once the fender is fixed.

I am open to ideas or comments. Thanks.

Looky what I got in the mail today

Already have the "i hate speedbumps" on my wink mirror and the simply clean stickers are going on my front window... gunna layer them... I would do it today but its raining... again.

Also had a minor set back. I had waited 3 weeks for a fender in frost white and finally got it on Friday... opened it up... its a passenger one... and I specifically was asking for a drivers one... uggg

Well I started the cleaning of my wheels tonight... one down lol... I'm thinkin I'm gunna get them mounted while they are silver and then decide on a color later... I have a lot to get done so I don't really have time to refinish them right now.

Well I have decided on the 4 Ra's I'm using out of my 6 I have.... color wise, I'm leaning towards Plum Crazy Purple, completely purple, no polished lip.

Got the wheels put on, they are BBS RA's 15x7 w/ a 35 offset. Tires are Nitto 195/50/15's.

You only get one pic bc my car is dirty and so are the tires lol, more will come when its clean.

Also the rear end is hiked up in the back bc of how the car is sitting in my drive way
