ok i have a 90 civic si with the MSD blaster 2 coil and MSD pro cap. the car has always ran fine untill one day when i started it, it turned over for like a minute and when it started it ran like a helicopter and was blowing smoke out the exhaust. i retimed it and checked the plugs and wires and they are fine. but now it wont start. it tries to fire but only for a split second and that only after like 20 cranks, i pulled the dizzy and the rotor was loose and the metal edge was rough so i replaced it and still no start. now i have a half inch long crack in my cap. is that the problem? i also had a problem with my coil wire like a year ago. it was arcing to my battery but i electrical taped the end of it and it has ran fine till this happened.
