Oh Snap! 2_Envy'z EF Sedan(s) Build Thread!
WELCOME!!
First off i'd like to give a lil info about me. My names Kevin, i'm 18, and i <3 Honda's. Ive just about owned every bodystyle Honda/Acura body style (EF,EG,EK,DA,DC,CB,CD,etc) From DX's to GS-R's, most of those who know me, i just cant stick with one car! Well im going back to what started my burning passion for Honda's, The EF Sedan. Im making this thread to show everyone what i can do and what can be done. Ive gotten so much inspiration from other peoples build threads (misha, sp33, My_EFsedan) hopefully ill be able to inspire others! anyway... on to the cars!
This build is about my 1991 Honda Civic DX sedan (The Devil) and my 1989 Honda Civic LX sedan (The Daily). Many of you might remeber the 91 from my previous build thread as (+honda_monkey+). I sold it just after the swap was completed and it made its way back to me. Anyway this thread will track the progress of the 2 sedans. Hope you guys enjoy!

Heres a little history about my 91 DX. I bought it last summer for $500bux! started to work on it and pieced together a B16 swap. heres a quick lil time line. . .
Day 1
lip, drop, etc. .
at its best

SportMaxx 002's too big imo
The 2 injector D15B2
pulled out
going in . . .
IN!
Swap-
B16A2 block (Rebuilt, New rings, seals, gaskets, etc.)
B16 Head (GS-R cams,Supertech valve springs,stocke everything else)
B16 cable ys1 tranny (non lsd, ACT 6 puck clutch and pressure plate)
shortly afterwards the swap was done it wasnt running right. Its OBD0 with vtec on a switch. Vtec didnt work and it kept over heating. I think its the head. either the head isnt flat or i put the wrong head gasket. And also for vtec not engaging, the head was used for LS vtec so i think the block off might still be there.
anyway the car made its way back to me without any changes besides clear corners and LS seats.

So heres the daily. picked it up for $400. pretty mint IMO..
as mint as it is i cant ride around like this. got some cheap wheels.

lol thanks! i usually grab the model befor this but this came out so yea. same thing just a lil newer lookin design. i like it. cheap and works great! though i do think i need better speakers. anyway... UPDATES SOON!! stay tuned everyone!

in the red sedan its got some oldskool 6x9s in the rear shelf all custom mounted. lookn all professionally installed. probly back in the day. weird that the 89 doesnt have speakers back there.
ill see if the wifey will let me go to the garage to work on my sedan. lol. i wanna slap the lip on there and wash it!(the 89 that is)

Looks good minus the body damage. I'd spend the money you spent for the turbo to fix it.
Also, I'm pretty sure that's just a sticker on the traction bars. Skunk2 doesn't make traction bars.

tell you the truth, the cost of body repair to the turbo set up... turbo set up would be cheaper. ive already got a friend who owns a paint shop who will be giving the whole car a fresh paint job. no worries guys, give it time! im jus glad its not rusted out like 90% of EFs

nope. it was 200 for XS Power intercooler/ Blitz BOV/ Pipes and Couplers. Then i traded some 16" wheels that i bought for $200 for the 18g Greddy Turbo/ Greddy Turbo manifold and down pipe.
still gotta order injectors and fuel pump. gotta get it running right first. waiting on payday to order my OBD1 dizzy.
going to slap on a lip on the 89. peektures up soon!

alright, so another update for the daily. .
slapped on a DA lip
test fitting
installed!!
alright so when i got the car it was all stickerd up. not really feelin any of them besides the "sex & go" sticker but ima take it off anyway. . .
the best tools. a blade and some tire shine!
after scraping off the sticker there will still be some left over gunk. spray or rub some of the tire shine and scrape some more. take your time and add more shine if you need to. taking your time keeps your paint intack.
and in no time. . .
some stickers are as old as the car. good luck getting those off. i dont have the paitence. lol its old and faded enough anyway.
might as well clean up the center garnish

now to add a lil bling! . . . boring

now i bet yall wanna see full pics of the car now ey? here ya go! i know its dirty but its break up time up here in AK so its slush and mudd and dirt all day everywhere.
and now i bet yall wondering whats up with the Red efsedan? well i was going to wait til payday and order my dizzy off ebay ($150+) but i thought i should try on my local forum to see if anyone happened to have one. lucky me! picked one up for $30bux!!!

lol thanks for the comments every one. actually i just mob threw the big puddles in the daily. haha. but any way, i notice the clutch is starting to slip more and more on the LX. at 128k i dont think its ever been replaced. guess ima have to do that soon.
anyway enough about the LX. heres some updates on the DX!
